Studio W’s first phase implementation of the Chowchilla ESD master plan included the modernization of both the Fuller Elementary and Wilson Middle School sites. The primary objectives of these projects were expanding the capacity for future growth, replacing non-permanent spaces, providing equity amongst the support facilities and creating the first step toward a neighborhood school approach.

At each site, Studio W designed a multi-purpose cafeteria and presentation facility that supports student and community life. Non-permanent, portable classroom wings were demolished in lieu of new classroom buildings; administration spaces were expanded or replaced; and significant upgrades to the student quad areas, parking and safety/security were implemented at both sites.
