Studio W Architects collaborated with a Steering Committee made up of key staff members from Weaver USD and the community to develop a Long-Range Facilities Master Plan for Weaver Middle School. The Steering Committee took a holistic approach by developing a vision for the campus that reached beyond the $9 million Measure G Bond and outlined a plan that could be implemented over the next 20 years.

The first phase of the master plan included new modular construction, improving vehicular circulation and student drop-off, removing the oldest buildings on the campus (many were on the AB 300 list), removing portables, modernizing classrooms and remodeling the district office.

The new slab-on-grade custom modular buildings replaced aging portables with permanent facilities, as well as the administration building which functions as the gateway to the campus. Various buildings were modernized across the site, including the gymnasium, locker rooms, music room and IT/district server room. Site improvements entailed vehicular circulation upgrades for student drop-off and pick-up, a new central courtyard and new hardcourts.
