Sacramento, CA—Studio W Architects is delighted to share that we have been selected by Washington Unified School District to provide their Facilities Master Planning Services. We will provide the District a two-phased approach; phase 1 will update their existing Facilities Master Plan to meet the requirements for Proposition 2 Funding. In phase 2, our team will deep dive into each of Washington USD’s campuses, engaging key stakeholders and community members to create a new District-Wide Facilities Master Plan.

Phase 1 will evaluate current facilities and develop strategies to address future needs. Our comprehensive approach will include enrollment projections, a capacity and utilization study and a determination of eligibility for state and other funding sources.

When we embark on phase 2, we will focus on creating a master plan that is adaptable, forward-thinking and long-lasting. Key considerations will include health and wellness, site safety and security, infrastructure, technology and modern learning initiatives, all designed to help the plan remain relevant and garner strong community support.

Our partnership with Washington USD spans nearly a decade, during which we’ve collaborated on several key projects, including their District-Wide Standards, Elkhorn Village School Modernization, Westmore Oaks School Master Plan and Modernization and various District-Wide Improvements. This longstanding relationship enables us to hit the ground running and build upon our understanding of the District’s goals, priorities and community.

Studio W is honored to continue our partnership with Washington USD and looks forward to delivering thoughtful, creative and cost-effective planning and design solutions that go well beyond design.
