Being submitted to the Division of the State Architect (DSA) today, the project entails renovating the 23,250 square foot, three-story general classroom building that houses the interior design, humanities and computer science programs and occupies roughly 33% of the campus’ classroom space. The modernization includes a comprehensive interior retrofit to upgrade the classrooms and labs to meet next generation learning standards and to better utilize the available space within the existing building. Seismic strengthening, code/health/safety and systems upgrades round out the scope of the $22.5 million project.
