Studio W Architects partnered with Red Hook Capital Partners to support the development of Riverside Scholarship PREP’s TK–8 public charter campus through a series of targeted site improvements and modernizations to two existing classroom buildings. The project enhances both learning environments and overall campus functionality while aligning with the school’s commitment to academic excellence and student well-being.
Campus-wide site upgrades included the addition of new play structures, basketball courts, a dedicated TK/K play area and play court, improved parking and student drop-off circulation, enhanced security fencing and refined path-of-travel systems to elevate safety and accessibility.
Both buildings underwent interior tenant improvements to better accommodate the school’s program needs, along with new rooftop HVAC units and comprehensive accessibility upgrades to ensure current code compliance and long-term performance.
The project’s finishing touch is a vibrant, large-scale mural by artist Brian Peterson. Drawing inspiration from the school’s focus on academics, arts and athletics, the mural not only enriches the daily experience of students and staff but contributes to the growing public art landscape within the City of Riverside.
