Capital College & Career Academy is a public charter school that is not only unique in its opportunities for high school students but in its transformative design. The once abandoned old Limn Furniture facility has been revolutionized into this one-of-a-kind school that contains 10 classrooms to accommodate STEAM and AEC pathways, outdoor areas between classrooms to encourage outdoor learning and a hub to promote collaboration between students. Components of the old facility are seamlessly incorporated into the final design; the exposed beams and vaulted ceilings in the main learning hub create a spacious area for students and staff to convene, and porthole windows encompass the entire grounds of the campus which provide natural lighting with a nod to CCCA’s school colors.
