Paradise, CA—The pickleball courts at Paradise Junior High School are ready for daytime use (court lighting to be completed soon!)! Pickleball has quickly risen in popularity with people of all ages as a fun way to stay healthy and active. Pickleball hit a sudden peak in popularity during the course of the last three years due to being a safe, socially distanced form of exercise. Even before the pandemic, pickleball was on the rise with Americans on the account of it being a great workout and easier to on the body. There are many health benefits when playing this sport, including improved balance, hand-eye coordination and heart health. Studies have even shown that pickleball can also boost cognitive performance and memory recall, in addition to its social aspect that promotes team building and new friendships. Its inclusivity and benefits make it a great sport for K-12 schools, and Studio W is proud to have designed these state-of-the-art courts for the Paradise Unified School District.
