We’re thrilled to announce a new project with San Mateo County Community College District! The team of Studio W Architects and Verde Design was selected for a new beach volleyball facility at the College of San Mateo. This project will feature four sand courts and supporting infrastructure at a prime location in the campus’ central quad. The beach volleyball facility will be located at the center of the College of San Mateo, therefore special attention is required to design a facility that seamlessly blends into the campus while establishing its own hallmarks. Fencing, seat walls and retaining walls will be positioned around the courts for security and spectator seating. An equipment storage building will be placed outside the perimeter fencing. This beach volleyball facility will be an athletic and physical education amenity for many years to come.
