Irvine, CA—Studio W Architects is pleased to welcome Gang Chen, RA, LEED AP BD+C, to our Irvine Studio as a project architect. Gang is an established architect with more than 20 years of experience in educational, healthcare, hospitality, retail, telecommunication and industrial facilities.

In his role at Studio W Architects, Gang is responsible for planning and developing architectural projects in their entirety, including coordinating drawings and documents with design engineers and subconsultants. He works with the design team to define scope parameters, research project data and select appropriate materials, products and furnishings for incorporation into the projects. Experienced in working with a variety of jurisdictional agencies, Gang ensures projects are designed to the standards of the California Building Code and local requirements. He is currently involved with the Series C/Phase 3 projects for Huntington Beach City School District.

Gang possesses a Master’s degree in Architecture from University of Southern California as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Architecture from South China University of Technology. He is a licensed architect in California and Colorado and a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) with the U.S. Green Building Council. Additionally, Gang is passionate about educating the next generation of architects. He authors resource and study materials and mock exams for the Architect Registration Exam 5.0 test series and the LEED v4 certification process. He has also published several YouTube videos on the subject matter.
