Huntington Beach, CA: BCA Architects was approved to begin design on Huntington Beach City School District’s Series C Bond Projects. Series C is the final stage of the Measure Q Bond Program, which was approved by voters in 2016, with the goal of modernizing all schools district-wide into 21st Century campuses.

Projects under Series C include the modernization of Eader Elementary School and Peterson Elementary School –  two campuses that have not previously been renovated under the Measure Q program. Eader Elementary School will receive classroom remodels, a library to learning commons renovation, a new campus-wide electrical system and ADA parking upgrades, with a construction budget of $6.2 million. The modernization of Peterson Elementary School entails modernizing classrooms, repurposing the food service center, a library to learning commons remodel and incorporation of a student fitness center, all for approximately $8 million in construction value.

These projects will be funded by the Measure Q general obligation bond and are expected to start construction in 2021.
