Another incredible project is officially underway! Gateway Unified School District celebrated the beginning of Shasta Lake School’s new Administration and Classroom Building with a groundbreaking ceremony this past Friday. With tremendous excitement surrounding this Shasta Lake community project, we were delighted to celebrate alongside parents, students, administrators and neighbors as construction gets kicked off.
This project will reimagine Shasta Lake School’s campus entry, creating a welcoming and highly functional front-of-campus experience while expanding essential academic and administrative spaces. The new two-story facility is designed to support students, staff and visitors and will include administrative offices, waiting areas, a nurse’s office, faculty workspaces, conference rooms and general classrooms. Throughout the building, spaces were carefully positioned to maximize daylight and create a welcoming learning environment.
Site improvements will provide new opportunities for outdoor learning and gathering. These enhancements will include an amphitheater, seating areas, raised planters with integrated seat walls and shade structures.
We are looking forward to seeing this project over the next year, with completion anticipated in 2027. Keep an eye out for future updates as construction progresses.
