Sacramento, CA—#WhereintheworldisstudioW? Our Project Architect, Chris Dallmeyer, traveled to the Amalfi coast in 2022 and brought his Studio W backpack along for the journey. He and his significant other, Marina, cruised the Italian coast on a boat and explored its coastal cities along the way, even stopping at the Gallos or Sirenusas islands that has Greek Mythological history of being home to sirens. When on land, they rode through Italy’s windy mountain roads on a vespa to the bigger cities, enjoying the scenic views and avoiding slow buses who struggled to make it around tight turns.
They spent their days relaxing at beach clubs and appreciating the cuisine. Considering that Chris and Marina were in the lemon capital of Italy, Amalfi, they ate many lemon dishes — sorbet inside a lemon, risotto inside a lemon and limoncello after dinner. One of his biggest highlights from the trip was the food, seafood that was freshly caught that day and naturally growing figs that he said were the best he’s ever had.
