Studio W is thrilled to announce a significant milestone for Lake Tahoe Unified School District (LTUSD) as they secured a $127 million general obligation bond, Measure U, aimed at enhancing educational facilities and creating modern learning environments for students. This represents not only a major investment in the South Lake Tahoe community, but also the continuation of our longstanding partnership with LTUSD.

Measure U will play a crucial role in the District’s ongoing efforts to improve the quality of education by updating classrooms, labs, libraries and career training facilities. These updates will create spaces that foster student success while meeting the evolving needs of today’s learners. This bond is especially focused on fulfilling LTUSD’s priorities of bringing campuses up to health and safety codes, while also enhancing athletic facilities, playgrounds, outdoor learning areas and ensuring permanent structures for future generations.

Measure U also marks the next phase in a rewarding partnership between Studio W and LTUSD. Over the past few years, we’ve had the privilege of working closely with the District on their District-Wide Facilities Master Plan and facilities conditions assessments, the South Tahoe High School Locker Room Roof Repair project and design of a softball field at South Tahoe Middle School with the local Soroptimist’s Club. These projects, combined with the Measure U Bond, represent a holistic approach to improving the District’s facilities and infrastructure, ensuring that every aspect of the student experience is elevated.
