Congratulations to Rachel Clemente and Jason Masty on their accomplishments with the Coalition for Adequate School Housing’s (CASH) School Facilities Leadership Academy. Jason, who has 23 years of architectural experience in the design of public works projects, has been accepted into Cohort 13 and will be in this continuing education program to support his well-rounded project manager and construction administrator role at Studio W. Rachel has completed her year-long term and is graduating from Cohort 12. She found this experience to be a great opportunity to build relationships and gain awareness of various points of view from her fellow Cohorts. Rachel expressed that “being a part of this Academy made [her] appreciate all involved in the industry… [she] loves how the people [she] made connections with in the program share the same goal of providing a special space for kids to feel supported.” We are proud of our colleagues and looking forward to their leadership and insight on our future endeavors.

The School Facilities Leadership Academy (SFLA) is a collaborative effort between CASH and the Fiscal Crisis and Management Assistance Team (FCMAT) with the goal of developing leadership skills of its participants and advancing education in California. Participants of this intensive program learn all facets of school facilities planning, funding, design, construction and maintenance over the course of a year. The SFLA was established so that tomorrow’s school facilities leaders would be able to learn from today’s experts.

Jason is our 6th professional to be accepted into the program, and with K-12 education being Studio W’s core market, we are grateful for the platform and endeavor to continue this engagement with the program.
