We are proud to celebrate Ty Yurkovic’s, Associate Principal & Client Leader, acceptance into Cohort 16 of the Coalition for Adequate School Housing’s (CASH) School Facilities Leadership Academy (SFLA), a highly regarded program focused on shaping the future leaders of school facilities across California.
Ty brings more than 20 years of experience in education, tribal, commercial and public works design, with a steady, solutions-driven leadership style. Known for his ability to guide teams with clarity while balancing scope, schedule and budget, Ty’s work spans both modern, ground-up construction and the thoughtful revitalization of existing facilities. His depth of knowledge and commitment to quality make him a strong asset to both Studio W and the clients he serves.
The School Facilities Leadership Academy is a nine-month program developed through a partnership between CASH and the Fiscal Crisis and Management Assistance Team (FCMAT). Participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the many layers involved in educational facilities, including long-range planning, funding strategies, design coordination, construction oversight and ongoing maintenance. The academy is designed not only to inform, but to cultivate confident leaders who can positively influence the future of California’s schools.
Studio W has a long history with the SFLA program, sponsoring nine team members through the academy to date. This continued involvement reflects our deep connection to K-12 design and our belief that strong leadership directly impacts the quality of educational environments. By encouraging opportunities such as SFLA, we invest not only in our people, but in the students, educators and communities who benefit from our “well beyond design” solutions.
