Sacramento, CA—Introducing Yas Kavousi, the newest member of our Sacramento Studio! Yas joins Studio W Architects as a Project Administrator, bringing over 10 years of AEC experience that will be invaluable to our clients, projects and internal teams. With a strong background in construction management, bid coordination and regulatory compliance, she has a proven ability to streamline processes, coordinate with agencies and drive project success.

A Midtown Sacramento local, Yas is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education in International & Multicultural Education at the University of San Francisco. She also holds a Master of Public Administration from McGeorge School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from University of California, Davis. Her journey into architecture stemmed from her background in construction, where she developed a deep appreciation for how spaces are built. Reflecting on her passion for the industry, she shared:

“What truly drew me to this path was the deeper connection between architecture and culture—the way design shapes how we live, connect to and experience the world.”

As Project Administrator, Yas will play a key role in coordinating communications, contracts, meetings and project administration, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams. She will also support the bidding and construction administration process, agency applications and project close-out.

Yas is particularly excited about joining Studio W Architects because of the firm’s impact on K-12 education design:

“I’m especially inspired by the firm’s impact in designing K-12 schools—spaces that do more than serve a function; they shape the next generation and the communities they’re a part of.”

Please join us in welcoming Yas Kavousi to the team!
