The next phase in the Kairos Public Schools Master Plan is officially underway! On May 30th, a groundbreaking ceremony marked the launch of construction on the Luminary High School at the Vacaville Campus. Ty Yurkovic joined school faculty members, the Vacaville community and project partners, including DesCor Builders, to celebrate this exciting milestone.
Slated for completion Summer 2026, the state-of-the-art classroom buildings were designed with health, productivity and sustainability in mind. The new wings will feature adjacent outdoor learning and gathering spaces, reinforcing Kairos’ commitment to creating an environment where students can thrive both in and out of the classroom.
This groundbreaking follows the successful completion of previous phases in the Master Plan:
- Summer 2023: The Kairos Innovative Scholars Pathway (KISP) building opened, establishing the foundation of the new campus. This facility now houses the independent study program, administrative offices and multipurpose spaces.
- September 2024: The addition of interim classroom buildings welcomed the launch of Luminary High School and accelerated the overall campus development.
