The City of Roseville’s Johnson Pool is back and better than ever! Originally constructed in 1921, Johnson Pool has long been a cherished community landmark. As Roseville’s first public swimming pool, it has served as a beloved summertime gathering place for over a century. Now, after a thoughtfully planned renovation, this historic site has been revitalized for today’s community while preserving its legacy for the future.
On June 14th, the City of Roseville celebrated the grand reopening of Johnson Pool with a family-friendly event that included recreational swimming, games, crafts and giveaways. The celebration welcomed the community back and showcased the exciting updates that make the facility more accessible, functional and welcoming.
The scope of work included replacing the pool, pool deck and all associated equipment. A new mechanical building was constructed to support the upgraded systems. Site improvements were also made to enhance ADA access and create better paths of travel for visitors. Inside the existing pool house, the family restroom was fully remodeled and expanded to include an office and lifeguard room, a break room, a first aid area, storage space and improved access to the pool deck.
We are proud to see Johnson Pool return as a vibrant community hub. Congratulations to the City of Roseville and to the community who can once again enjoy this treasured space.
