Paradise & Magalia, CA: The tragedy that struck the Paradise area recently is near to the hearts of those at BCA Architects. We have been working alongside Paradise Unified School District for the past two years and were so excited to celebrate with them as their Measure Y Bond passed, then devastation ensued just two days later. We have been in communication with district personnel on a daily basis since the Camp Fire began. Brian Whitmore joined facilities staff and others last week to inventory their schools and deliver gift cards to the community. However, what we’re doing now and into the future isn’t about architecture, it’s about supporting our colleagues at the District that we’re honored to call friends and reaching out to a community so desperately in need.

Our efforts with the communities of Paradise and Magalia will continue long after the disaster recovery teams have left the area. We’re privileged and humbled to work alongside them as they rebuild.
