Phase 1 of the Burchfield Primary School modernization project is officially underway for Colusa Unified School District! The Studio W Team joined District officials and general contractor, Rodan Builders in Colusa, California earlier this week for the groundbreaking ceremony celebrating the start of this project. The ceremony included remarks from Board President, Roberta James, who shared her excitement for the future improvements coming to the school community.
Thoughtfully planned in three phases, the project will replace aging portable classrooms with modern modular learning environments. Phase 1 includes the construction of a new modular wing featuring eight TK/kindergarten classrooms, along with a new playground structure, updated surfacing and associated site improvements.
Future phases will replace the remaining portable classrooms with a new seven-classroom modular wing, dedicated restroom facilities and expanded landscaped areas to create a more cohesive campus environment.
