The Studio W Team at the Palm Springs Convention Center

This week, Studio W Architects is attending the Coalition for Adequate School Housing (CASH) Annual Conference on School Facilities in Palm Springs, CA—one of the premier events for professionals dedicated to advancing K-12 school facilities and maintenance. This annual conference provides a platform to discuss the most pressing challenges and innovations in school facilities planning, funding, design and maintenance. With education sessions, mini-workshops and a robust trade show, attendees gain valuable insights into industry trends, best practices and emerging solutions that will shape the future of school environments.

Beyond the learning and networking opportunities, this year’s conference also celebrates the graduation of the School Facilities Leadership Academy (SFLA) Class of 2025. We are excited to recognize Chris Dallmeyer, Project Architect, in his achievement as part of Cohort 14. The SFLA program equips professionals with the knowledge and leadership skills needed to enhance school facilities across California, and we are proud to have Chris represent Studio W among this distinguished group.

Reflecting on his experience, Chris shared:

“It’s honestly difficult to accurately capture the depth and breadth of value that I received from the CASH SFLA program. From the core faculty to the guest speakers and to my fellow cohort members, we gained significant insight from all different perspectives of school facility projects. With a better understanding of what district representatives and contractors deal with in their roles on projects, I can work more cooperatively and beneficially with team members on all sides to deliver high-quality school facilities.”

Aside from the technical knowledge, Chris emphasized the lasting relationships built through the program:

“CASH successfully catalyzed another generation of partnerships between school districts, contractors, construction managers and architects. It’s incredibly reassuring to know that we all have 50+ cohort members who will be there to help advise and guide each other as we overcome various facility challenges in the future.”

As always, Studio W is committed to designing innovative and inspiring learning environments, and we are grateful for opportunities like the CASH Conference that allow us to collaborate, learn and grow within the K-12 school facilities community.
