Eureka, CA—Following a 6.4 magnitude earthquake on December 20, 2022, Studio W took the time to fly Universal Structural Engineers out to Eureka, California to help our previous client, Rio Dell School District assess damages to their two sites. Assessments needed to happen quickly to make sure the campus was occupiable before students returned from winter break. We are happy to report that learning spaces on each campus are occupiable, but repairs to the elementary gymnasium and non-occupied spaces will likely have to be undertaken.
