The new 9,000 square foot multipurpose building includes a basketball court, stage, kitchen, student serving lines and restrooms. It was designed as part of a master planning effort between the District and Studio W. Upon the successful passage of the District’s bond by the community of Delhi, rigorous design meetings with faculty, staff and community members allowed the design team the ability to create a space to meet the requirements of the District and key stakeholders. Although not a joint-use facility, the new building was designed with community use in mind. Two entry points were designed—one for students during school hours and another for community use after the school day ends. This design allows the District to monitor entry and exit for the different users at various times of the day.
