This modernization project comprises the addition of a new administration and classroom wing to replace non-permanent classroom facilities, a new parking and drop-off area and the modernization of all existing classroom and multipurpose facilities. The community of Marina, on the north end of Monterey Peninsula USD’s boundaries, is experiencing tremendous growth given the lower cost of living and development continuing to occur there. The District is strategically enhancing schools in this area to prepare for that growth, while enhancing the learning outcomes of the remaining facilities. This modernization also considers site safety and security, 21st Century learning and sustainable design features.
