We are very pleased to be working with the Tahoe Truckee USD in expanding their Wellness Center Program. The program is designed to help students access a broad spectrum of mental health services, outreach and education. With the success of the programs at North Tahoe High School and Truckee High School as evidence of its effectiveness, Studio W is helping the District expand the current program at Alder Creek Middle School by expanding their current Wellness Center. The Center provides a safe, supportive environment where students can discuss a variety of issues from depression, anxiety, stress, grief and family life. The purpose of the wellness program is for students to have a voice in determining the support needed, develop skills for personal resiliency and connect with informed adults and peers.
The Center will also be a place where students can seek advice relevant to their physical, emotional, social and emotional well-being. A place where students can receive and utilize referrals to community resources, and learn how to effectively access services and support. We are happy to be able to design and deliver a facility at Alder Creek Middle School to meet the students’ needs, while providing a comfortable and welcoming environment for students to seek support.
