In 2017, Studio W Architects began working with Paradise Unified School District to develop their District-wide Facilities Master Plan and facilities conditions assessments. This Facilities Master Plan was completed in spring 2018 and shortly thereafter, the community experienced the tragedy that was the Camp Fire. We pledged to work alongside the District to assist with insurance claims and refresh their master plan based on post-fire conditions and current enrollment trends.
Over the past two years, renovations and rebuilds have been completed at the Paradise High School campus, all the while remaining operational throughout the reconstruction. This campus-wide project included a new multi-story classroom and administration wing, learning resource building and science lab remodel, gymnasium remodel, reconstruction of the athletic stadium and practice fields, food service modernization, e-learning lab modernization, wrestling building reconstruction and overall health, code, safety and infrastructure updates, including painting, fencing and site security. As of Summer 2023, the entire Paradise High School campus is complete and ready for students and faculty to begin making new memories in this new facility.
We had the pleasure of attending the Paradise High School Grand Opening Ceremony on August 10th at which we could feel the overall excitement for this revived, paramount institution that has been serving the students of Paradise since 1954. To see past alumni, future students and the community come together for this moment was special and we are so grateful to be part of this highly anticipated project that is going to serve the Paradise community for many years to come.
