Paul Bunton and the team at BCA Architects will be one of the exhibitors for the Small School District Association (SSDA) New Superintendents’ Symposium. The event will take place on July 14th and 15th from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Lions Gate Hotel. SSDA members have put together a full agenda dedicated to preparing California school leaders for success. Brian Whitmore and Rachel Del Fierro will be exhibiting for BCA both days and sponsoring the luncheon on Monday. You can read more about their presentation HERE.

For over 28 years, the SSDA New Superintendents’ Symposium has been one of the premier conferences for new superintendents. Each year approximately 55 new superintendents from across California join the event. The symposium provides an opportunity for experienced superintendents to welcome new superintendents to their position and offers guidance and support through presentations and interactive discussions.

“BCA Architects has been a leader in the 21st Century Education movement in California,” said Brian Whitmore, AIA, LEED AP, Vice President at BCA Architects. “As BCA serves communities all across California, it has become apparent to our team that many educators and school communities are searching to keep up with the rapid changes occurring in the global economy with the overarching goal to prepare students to compete in the global workforce.”

To address this goal and provide California communities with a space to visualize the classroom of now while preparing for the future, BCA built a demonstration classroom that allows educators, Boards, and Community members to intuitively understand the need to change their current methods of educating their students and move towards a more collaborative environment that actually engages the students in this interactive setting.

“BCA’s role at the SSDA Conference is to assist small school district throughout California realize their dream for facilities planning and development,” says Whitmore. “We work hand in hand with Districts from across the State identify needs, master plan solutions and identify funding for them to make significant facility construction and modernization a reality.”
